Who our group is:
Loud and Clear Qld is a Self Advocacy and friendship group for people with intellectual disability supported by Parent to Parent Qld.
We are based on the Sunshine Coast in Qld and meet once every 3 weeks
What does our group care about?
We are self advocates with intellectual disability who speak up for the rights, choices and voices of people with an intellectual disability!
Loud and Clear cares about people with intellectual disability:
- Speaking up for themselves and their needs
- Being part of decisions that affects their lives.
We want our self advocacy work to inspire the community to be inclusive.
Things our group has worked on:
- Run the yearly Loud and Clear Qld Self Advocacy conference
- Give advice to community organisations and the government
- Educate and talk about disability awareness in the community
Who can be member of our group?
You can be a member of Loud and Clear if you:
- Have an intellectual disability
- Live in Queensland
