Gold Coast Hot Topics is a group run by and for people with intellectual disability on the Gold coast in Queensland.
Our meetings are run by people with disability.
What does our group care about?
We are self advocates with intellectual disability.
We care about making a safe space to support each other, share our experiences and talk about issues that affect our lives.
Things our group has worked on:
- Given peer support to each other
- Run social events
- Spoken about issues that are important to people with disability
Who can be member of our group?
You can be a member of the Gold Coast Hot Topics group if you:
- Have an intellectual disability
- Live or work on the Gold Coast
