Who our group is:
New Wave South Gippsland & Bass Coast is a Self Advocacy Group run by Self Advocates with an Intellectual Disability and/or Acquired Brain Injury.
What does our group care about?
- We give our members friendship and a sense of purpose and wellbeing.
- We learn to speak up and be stronger and accepted.
- We like to build our skills and confidence to learn to speak up for our rights.
Things our group has worked on:
- Run training for people with a disability on different topics like being safe online
- Run community events like hosting a large Community Expo for people with disability
Who can be member of our group?
You can be a member of New Wave Bass Coast and South Gippsland if you:
- Have an Intellectual Disability or Acquired Brain Injury
- Live in the Bass Coast or South Gippsland
- Over 18 years old
